Kirsten Debrock (born 1962, in the U.S.A., of Belgian nationality) is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (The Netherlands). She danced successively with the Netherlands Dance Theater, the Basler Ballett and the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam . In 1983, she obtained the annual Dansers Fonds,79 Award for the most promising dancer in The Netherlands. During her dancing career, she had the good luck of working with a substantial number of choreographers of international reputation.
In 1991 she coaches successfully the staging of Nils Christe's Symphony in Three Movements for the Ballet National de Nancy, and she makes her debut as choreographer in The Netherlands.
Ever since, Kirsten Debrock has created a considerable number of choreographies in several countries (France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands) of which detailed information may be found here.
Several of these works were created for the Compagnie de Danse Muse which she founded in 1994.
Kirsten Debrock lives in France.
