`
I love those strange people
With holes in their memory
Holes filled with wounds
from the present or the past
Truths quite coarse
Regurgitated in a swell
When the masks have melted
The trick has been played.
Julos Beaucarne (Marie Gendron)

“ELLES”, a choreography conceived by Kirsten Debrock for the Jeune Ballet du Midi on the music of parts of the Second Concerto for Cello Solo (BWV 1008) by Johann Sebastian Bach, was created in the beautiful ancient little chapel of the Vignogoul Abbey in Pignan (France), which formed the ideal setting for a piece concerning the painful experience of the progressive loss of memory that characteristizes certain mental diseases, such as the disease of Alzheimer.
